Wounds to Healing

As a nurse by profession, a mom, a wife, a human, I have seen wounds. From the paper cut on my own finger to the ulcer to the bone on someone's buttocks, I have seen the wounds. It's been more than just seeing; it is the feeling...the deep heart wrenching.
The feeling of the zealot taking the knife and stabbing me in the sternum, turning it up and puncturing my heart. Sounds gruesome, doesn't it? This blog, at times, may be real. Because those wounds run deep. The deep wounds that started as a child but wondering why.
Most of the time when someone is broken, it is because of the past. Someone broke you. Wounded by words, slaps, screams. You know the ones, " You aren't worth anything." "You are so dumb." "Don't be stupid." "You are unlovable."
Did they know what they were doing? Maybe, maybe not. It's when you want it to stop, to break the generational curse, that you finally decide to do something. And what do you do...you seek Jesus.
Jesus, the Healer of all wounds.
Mark 5:34, Jesus says, Daughter, your faith has made you well, go in peace, and be healed of your disease.
When I teach, I love to ask questions. What if, we just accepted "your faith has made you healed." What if, every wound from our severed heart could be healed by one word from Jesus. Just one phrase-"You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace" Song of Solomon 4:9
What if...with just one glance from our Jesus, He heals our wounds...would you be willing to look at your Savior, Jesus, just once for healing of your wounds?
All He wants is you...
