5:55pm-5 means grace, from a Biblical standpoint.

Over the past three weeks, I have seen God's grace, mercy and love pour over me. From the new grandbaby, to seeing my other two grandchildren and even in the passing of my Papa. Little God winks along the way. Isn't God amazing like that?

Psalm 34:18 (NLT), "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." While new life has come, one was taken. The one taken meant so much to me. A life well lived, traveled, full of humor and Jesus...memories that have been embedded into my heart.

I bet you have some of those, too. Pull up a chair, let's have a glass of water with lemon, and talk about your pain. Is it someone who has gone on before you, or maybe it's the betrayal and pain from a friend or even worse, family? Oh, friend, I have been there, all three places. The heart can only take so much, can't it? Broken and shattered.

One thing I have learned, God is truly close to those who are broken. His promises are true. He has not forgotten you, nor has He forsaken you. Oh, how He loves you. He alone is worthy, holy, and Sovereign...Jesus...

I know sometimes we can't see the forest for all the trees, but I promise Jesus is lingering in the midst with you. I have learned that over the past few years, and deeper over the last year.

Psalm 34:8 (NLT), "Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!" When the pain is overwhelming and the heartbreak is so strong, come taste and see the goodness of the Lord. He is where our joy comes from, not the circumstances.

Lord, I ask today that You surround my friends. The broken hearted ones that can't see or feel you. The ones whose heart is broken for the passing of a Papa, or passing of anyone. The ones who are lonely from broken relationships, betrayal and pain. Lord, reveal Yourself to them. Just as You showed me Your love and grace with my Papa, show them Your love and grace. Give them God winks. In Jesus Name, Amen

Brokenhearted, but the Lord is good,

Veronica
