It’s a New Season

Winter has seemed to finally fade and spring is upon us. I took a walk today, down that old county road. The one who has seen the tears, heard the screams, prayers, but even worship. The Philadelphia fleabane, pink Primrose, purple phlox, white and yellow flowers, and the occasional leftover Indian Paintbrush line the various shades of green ditches. I worshipped today-by prayer and song.
I came across the “gnarly” tree. Dead from seasons past, but now covered with a green vine. I don’t know about you, but I’m thankful today for the covering. In Christ, we are covered by His blood, His righteousness, His love. Even in the desert seasons, even in the sadness and heartache, but the Spring is coming.
We may never see the fulfillment of God’s promises here on Earth. And you know what? It’s ok!
The “gnarly” tree may no longer bear leaves. In these tough seasons of life, your life does not have to end like that of the tree. You can still live life abundantly and to the fullest. “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:3
Focus beyond the deadness, fix your eyes on Jesus, planting yourself by His stream of Living Water. It’s in the planting with Him, your life will bear much fruit.
Living by His Living Water,
Veronica
