Plead the Blood

A different storyline today. It's Sunday morning and I'm sitting in an ICU room with someone I love. Wondering how we got here, yet again. You pray, maybe even beg God to move, and He doesn't work on your timeline or by your standards. Then what?

Sometimes the battle is bigger than we could ever imagine. A David and Goliath story...or maybe a Jehoshaphat moment when the armies were coming against him. Either way, the battles were not won but man, but God. In both instances, the battles were too big for man. Only God could save David and Jehoshaphat. But God...

I need a But God moment...do you? The battle is raging around us, spiritual warfare is strong. My Front Porch friend, Karen Wheaton, is saying it's bad everywhere.

But we have a choice, do we just let the enemy take our faith, hope, peace and joy? Or do we stand?

I am choosing to stand in faith, and I hope you do to. God will strengthen our faith, hope and will provide us with peace and joy in the process. We don't fight against flesh and blood, but spirits and principalities.

Things are about to wrap up on Earth, one day every soon the trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ will rise, and the believers will be caught up in the air to meet our King.

So, we stand. We really don't have a choice. We put on the armor-helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, sword of the Spirit, belt of truth, and feet shod in peace. We gird up, stay in position and wait to see the glory of the Lord.

Plead the Blood sung by Brandon Lake, Cody Carnes, Chris Davenport

Here and now, I draw a boundary

Against every weapon that's formed

The thief and his plans will pass over

When he sees the red on the door

I plead the blood

The enemy CAN'T take my family

'Cause this home belongs to the Lord

So, I'm not afraid to remind him

That he has no claim in this war

I plead the blood

I plead the blood of Jesus

I plead the blood

I plead the blood of Jesus

'Cause my future is glory to glory

And my freedom's been purchased in full

For all of the weight of His suffering

The Lamb will receive His reward

The shield and my shelter

It's my defense

I claim it over and over again

What can wash away my sin?

Nothing but the blood

What can make me whole again?

Nothing but the blood

Nothing but the blood

This is all my hope and peace

Please look up the rest of the lyrics and listen to the song.

Until next week, keep standing, keep your hope alive, may God grant you peace and strengthen faith and love for Him and one another.

I plead the blood of Jesus today over all of you and the situations you are facing,

Veronica

Amen my sweet sister. I too choose to stand and plead the blood of Jesus. What a powerful word
